Assessment and authorization is where evidence has to become a decision. Pueo assesses controls against the system as it actually runs, then authors the package to the standard an authorizing official expects to sign.
The assessment is behavioral: NIST 800-53 controls are weighted against real adversary behavior through ATT&CK, so a control is judged by what it would actually stop rather than by whether a document says it exists. Pueo’s control library crosswalks 4,000+ measured elements into 176 technical requirements, demonstrated in sensitive mission environments, which is what lets a finding carry mission context into the package instead of arriving as a checklist line.
From there Pueo authors the full RMF package: system security plan, security assessment report, and POA&M, executed inside the systems the program already runs on, including eMASS and Xacta. Physical-security accreditation is handled by the same team, and the work is delivered on classified fabrics as readily as on unclassified enterprise programs. The goal is compression: fewer handoffs, fewer rewrites, and a package that holds up on first read.
